Privacy policy
What this site asks you for, what happens to it, and how to have it removed. It is short because we collect very little.
We are still settling the exact wording of this page. What is written below is how we work today — if any of it bears on your booking, ask us and we will confirm it to you in writing before you pay.
What we ask for
Your name, phone number, email address, the dates you want, how many people are coming, and whatever you choose to write in the message box. That is the whole list. There is no account to create and no password to lose.
What we do with it
Reply to you, hold the dates, and arrange the stay. Your enquiry is stored in our booking records and sent to us by email so that a real person sees it quickly. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. The only cookie it sets is the one that keeps the owner signed in to the private admin area, and it is set only after someone signs in there.
Bookings that arrive from listing sites
Some of these houses are also listed on Airbnb and similar sites. When a stay is booked there, that site passes us the guest's name and the dates so our calendar cannot double-book the house. We receive no payment details from them.
Paying
Where an online payment is offered, it is handled by a licensed payment gateway on its own systems. Card numbers, UPI IDs and net-banking credentials are entered there and never reach this site or our database. What we keep is the reference number, the amount, and whether it succeeded.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that did not become bookings are kept while the dates are still live and then cleared. Records of stays that did happen are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires booking and invoice records to be retained.
Having it removed
Write to stay@estellastays.in and we will delete what we are not legally required to keep, and tell you what is left and why. The same address works for a copy of what we hold, or a correction to it.
Photographs
The photographs on this site are of our own houses. If a guest sends us a picture we ask before it is published anywhere, every time.
