About us
A few houses, looked after properly.
Estella Stays is a small collection of private homes in Lonavala, Karjat, Mumbai, North Goa and Konkan. Small on purpose: it is the number we can stay on top of ourselves, which is the whole difference between a villa that photographs well and one that works when you arrive at midnight with tired children.
Every house is let whole, to one group at a time. There is no front desk, no other guests at breakfast and no shared pool. What there is: a caretaker who lives close by, a kitchen you can actually use or have cooked for you, and a phone number that a person answers.
We would rather tell you a house is wrong for you than have you arrive and find out. If you are weighing two of them, message us and say who is coming — we will tell you which one to take.

Our journey
How Estella Stays came to be
Where it began
Estella Stays started with one plain idea: a group deserves a whole house to itself, looked after by people who actually pick up the phone.
How it grew
We added houses one at a time, only where we could stay on top of them ourselves — from the hills around Lonavala and Karjat to the Konkan coast, North Goa and Mumbai.
Where we are today
A collection of private villas, hundreds of families and friends hosted, and many guests who come back and bring others. Still growing slowly, and still answering our own messages.
Where we are
Lonavala, Karjat, Mumbai, North Goa and Konkan
17 houses, spread across 5 very different places. Each page tells you what is actually nearby — the beach or the lake, the market, the drive from the airport — rather than a generic line about the region.
Not sure which end to pick? The villa pages list the closest landmarks with real distances, and we are happy to talk it through before you commit to anything.
